I made the car more powerful and increased its braking. To compensate, I made it more squirrelly if you lay down the gas coming out of a turn or lurch it on a gearshift going in.
When you enter a turn while braking, you need to rev match. Otherwise, you'll transfer weight hard onto the front wheels and possibly lock up the car's steering. This is true in real life. What it translates to in this game is that TCS gets turned off for a split-second, which is enough to send you sliding if you're cornering hard. But if you're fast enough to rev match while braking, you'll be rewarded with nitro points for a perfect downshift and get to maintain balance through the turn.
Or you could just tap the handbrake and full send it with the tweaked drift mechanics. That's also an option.
Next up: separate tracks and ghosts to beat on all of them.
